A manuscript of varied contents, written by a group of scribes in Fortingall, Perthshire, mostly in the third quarter of the 16th century. The volume chronicles deaths and other events mainly in Highland Perthshire and other Highlands areas, but it also occasionally includes events of national concern, such as those surrounding the forced abdication of Mary, Queen of Scots.
